Kid’s playground

Yay, let’s play for free! This little area brings a few cool things for the kiddies. Here’s how to get the most for less.

There’s something beautiful about the word free… Especially when you have children as they start to get very expensive. With this in mind, there are loads of great fun-packed things to do around Sydney that do not break the budget.

The beauty of these places is that you can make a full day out of them!

The very first recommendation is……

Mac Cullum Pool

This was originally a rock pool built into the side of Sydney Harbour in the 1920s by local lad Fred Lane, who had competed in the 1900 Paris Olympics.

I love this pool for a number of reasons…

  1. There is no entry fee
  2. Free parking
  3. It’s gated so the little ones can’t wonder off
  4. It has the most glorious views of Sydney
  5. Diverse groups from adults with kids to the Instagram hotties to the older crowd

Here’s the thing, if you pack a picnic – it’s a free day out.

Just beside the pool is the gorgeous gardens where you can set up a picnic rug in between swimming and take in the views and the fresh air.

Yes people! This amazing spot becomes a free day out for you and the kids.

Just a little heads up – if you are travelling from another area check in on the times the pool is closed for cleaning to avoid disappointment.

Sydney Park Bike Track

Here’s another recommendation for the kiddies as the weather heats up….

This fabulous park is located on Sydney Park Road in St Peters this little gem is a showstopper.

I love this park for a number of reasons…

  1. There is no entry fee
  2. Free parking
  3. Free balance bike classes with experienced instructors to help 3 to 8 year olds master the art of bike riding and progress to pedals without training wheels.
  4. The bike track also sits alongside an exciting new skate park. The new space will feature a skate plaza, beginner bowl and large flow bowl for skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes.
  5. Nearby barbecue facilities and picnic areas

Once again, if you pack a picnic – it’s a free day out.

Another amazing spot becomes a free day out for you and the kids.
